" David Tabachnick first became associated with the Stony Brook School some 
five years ago when he graciously helped us with some short-notice 
emergency tuning for a James Ward concert. David, an accomplished technician 
and piano restorer, has serviced our growing piano population ever since. 
Currently serving as President of the Suffolk County Chapter of the Piano 
Technicians Guild, David retired from the professionals musicians circuit in 
1977. Until that time he had played continuously in New York."
